Rob Panos has served as Chief of Staff at Sagamore Institute since 2019. In this capacity, he provides staff leadership, manages key external partnerships and oversees grant activity. Rob also directs Sagamore’s consulting portfolio, where he works with Sagamore’s research team to provide insights and counsel to an array of clients. Recent projects include development of an impact investing strategy for Belmont University, guidance on a workforce pipeline strategy for OneAmerica Financial and an analysis of media literacy trends and challenges for a large private foundation.
Rob is passionate about local community development and the role of cross-sector partnerships in creating and sustaining change. He brings particular expertise in philanthropic and social finance strategies, which he deploys across Sagamore’s programs and through its impact investing program, Commonwealth. Rob is currently participating in the Mitch Daniels Leadership Fellowship and was recently recognized as one of “Indy’s Best and Brightest” by Junior of Achievement of Central Indiana.
Prior to joining Sagamore Institute, Rob served as Donor Relations Manager at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and in numerous capacities in the nonprofit sector. He comes from the Washington, D.C. region and received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Public Policy degrees from the University of Virginia. Rob enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife and four children and is active at Antioch Community Church in Indianapolis.
