Lamont Hatcher is the Founder and CEO of AIS, an IT
Managed Services Provider in Indianapolis specializing in
strategic solutions that help organizations leverage
technology to achieve business goals. AIS is a Minority
Business Enterprise (MBE), and an SBA 8(a) Certified
company.
Lamont completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana
University in 1995, where he earned a B.S. in
Computer/Information Technology Administration and
Management. He’s also an active member of Kappa Alpha
Psi Fraternity, Inc. He most recently completed another
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Indiana
Wesleyan in 2020. He began his IT career as a Document
Processing Specialist for USA Track & Field and within a few
years’ time grew to the VP of Technology for an enterprise-
level IT consulting firm while simultaneously working as the
Chief Information Officerfor Memorial Clinic of Indianapolis.
After years of working in enterprise-level IT, Lamont recognized that enterprise-level organizations were
seeing great benefits from technology advancements such as automation and cloud services, but that
these benefits often felt unattainable ortoo cutting edge (and expensive) forsmall to mid-sized businesses
(SMBs). So, in 2012, he took a risk and started his own company (AIS) with a mission to help SMBs better
understand and implement technology solutions to help them grow their businesses and achieve their
goals/missions more effectively through the use of technology. AIS has seen tremendous growth and has
helped hundreds of SMBs implement effective technology solutions. In fact, for many businesses, AIS has
helped the IT department become a profit center for their organization.
As the company has scaled, Lamont has been intentional with who he brings on to the AIS team, with a
focus on aligning strong core values with diversity. He promotes a culture of equality and inclusion and
believes in elevating and giving women and minorities opportunities in technology. He supports and
encourages others, instilling in them the desire, duty and passion for personal growth and philanthropy.
Lamont has held several certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), VMWare
Certified Professional (VCP) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and recently completed his
second B.S. in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University (February 2021). He has served
on the Board of Directors for both Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity and Morning Light. He currently
serves on the Indy Humane Board of Directors, and mentors young black youth through 100 Black Men in
the Indianapolis metro area. Additionally, through AIS, Lamont sponsors a wide variety of community and
industry organizations such as BDPA, Women & Hi Tech, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, Indy
CIO Network, Damar Services, and Boss Babes.
In 2020, Lamontwasthe recipient oftheWomen&Hi Tech InauguralOperationALLTM MaleAlliesChampion
